KBMax was named in Gartner's "Innovation Insight for Visual Configuration" report

Gartner recently released its Innovation Insight for Visual Configuration report. It explores visual configurators and VR/AR products available in 2017.
"Providing interactive 3D product visualization is a compelling way to showcase what products have to offer and how they work. By showcasing how a product will look and function in real time, customers know they are getting the exact product they want," said Chris Haussler, senior product manager of Oracle CPQ Cloud.”
Visual configurators are now mature enough for widespread deployment, and most leading cloud CPQ vendors now include or integrate with one. Application leaders responsible for sales applications should seize the opportunity to disrupt their industry by being the first to offer visual configuration. Key findings from the report include:
  • Companies that implement visual configuration solutions see significant improvement in their deal win rate, lower costs for drafting computer-aided design (CAD) drawings, less rework in the factory and lower carrying costs for samples at retail locations.
  • There are currently more than a dozen vendors that offer 2D visualization, 3D visualization and CAD automation.
  • Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) visual configuration are just becoming mainstream.

KBMax Opens Germany Office

KBMax achieved an important milestone, opening its Germany office as part of our international market expansion. The new location has been operational since May 1, 2017 and is located in 71063 Sindelfingen*, near Stuttgart.
The Sindelfingen location has been carefully selected. It is centrally located in Germany, for better market coverage, and allows KBMax to work much closer with our partners, such as Salesforce and Oracle, and optimally serve our customers in the surrounding regions.

Thomas came to KBMax from Matchcode, a global B2B Marketing Services firm headquartered in Switzerland where he was a Vice President responsible for growing the North American business by providing marketing services and campaigns for companies such as SAP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM and Centurylink. Prior to Matchcode, he was with Hewlett Packard's Enterprise Software business were he developed the America's software partner program and distribution channels, as well as drove marketing campaigns for direct customers and channel partners. Thomas has also start-up experience, where he successfully took over a small start-up and turned it around for profitable, sustainable growth leading all aspects of the company and getting the job done.

The KBMax team recently met at the Rockin Y Ranch in Austin for our annual company wide meeting.  This year was focused on the launch of our new version featuring 3D UI and Snap rule language. Plus, there was a Texas sized helping of team building.
The new version (aka KBMax 3D CPQ) means significant changes in the marketing, sales, and implementation process. Our team worked hard to model out how we can message a more visual and easy to implement solution.
