Gartner recently published their first Market Guide for Configure, Price and Quote Application Suites by Mark David Lewis and Guneet Bharaj on October 27th. Louis Columbus provided a great summary of the Gartner paper on Forbes and touched on a few areas, which is in line with our thought process. Also, we had a chance to meet with Mark and walked him through our latest software release and the features and functionality.
3D Visualization Engine. While we provide a robust configuration engine, we clearly are on the leading edge with our 3D visualization, the way it performs and how users or customers interact and expereince a complex custom product in real time. It is a major differentiator for the majority of our clients, today.
SNAP Rule Engine. Included in our cloud-based CPQ solution is KBMax Snap, which is Turing-complete, meaning that it can build any advanced algorithm. The visual drag & drop blocks make it easy to use and fast to implement for all skill levels, allowing product owners to define their condiguration rules in a very efficient and self-sufficient way. Simply said: The future of enterprise programming is here.
Convergence of enterprise CPQ and E-Commerce 3D visualization. Industrial B2B companies are looking not only for a robust product configurator which supports highly complex products, but also a more E-Commerce like sales process. The mass customization is growing and we as well see B2B customers who are already "testing the waters" with 3D giving their clients the control to configure the products exactly the way they want.
